Currently, this app is for use to ride our free, on-demand, curb-to-curb Sunday transit service. Stay tuned! We’re working to expand the app to cover other services we provide.
Who We Are:
ShastaConnect provides specialized public transportation services in Shasta County, generally outside of the fixed-route transit system operated by the Redding Area Bus Authority (RABA). ShastaConnect is operated by Dignity Health Connected Living (DHCL). It is funded and supported by the Shasta Regional Transportation Agency (SRTA).
Areas We Serve:
You can use the app to request a ride for transit services on Sundays. Currently, Sunday transit services are from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM, primarily within the city of Redding and some areas of Shasta County. We will be constantly evaluating the service and looking to make improvements. If there are additional hours or areas to serve on Sundays we should consider, please email us at [email protected].

Who Can Ride?
That’s the beauty of it. Anyone can ride! However, minors under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
How Does It Work?
ShastaConnect is a convenient on-demand transit service that takes multiple people heading in the same direction and transports them in a shared van or bus. Using the app, enter the address where you are at and your destination. We then match you with a vehicle going your way, give you an estimated trip duration, and then ask if you want to book the trip. Hit “accept” and we’ll take you to your destination.
ShastaConnect is convenient! When you book a trip, we will come right to where you are at and drop you off at the curb of your destination. No need to walk to a pre-determined stop or wait out in the heat or cold. How awesome is that?
Want to schedule in advance? Great news! You can book a ride up to three days in advance.
How Long Will I Wait?
On average, our vehicles should be there within a few minutes. You’ll get an accurate estimate of your wait time before you book your trip.
How Much Does It Cost?
It’s free on Sundays! But only for a limited time during the initial two-year pilot.
